Foc Lock ("we", "our", "the app") is a study-tracking application. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the web app or the Android app, and how it's used.
If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely, never in plain text) to authenticate you via Supabase, our backend provider. You may also set a display name and profile details, which are visible to friends you connect with inside the app.
To provide the core features, we store:
This data is stored in our Supabase database and is used only to power the app's tracking, gamification, and social features.
The app uses your browser or device's localStorage to save preferences and session state locally (e.g. theme, in-progress sessions, cached settings). This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless it relates to a feature that syncs to your account.
If you use the built-in AI assistant, your messages are sent to third-party AI providers (Google Gemini and Groq) to generate responses. Conversation history may be saved to your account so you can revisit past chats. Don't share sensitive personal information in chat messages you wouldn't want processed by these providers.
The Android app may request permissions for:
None of these permissions are used to collect or transmit data beyond what's needed for the feature itself.
Foc Lock does not currently run ads or analytics tracking on the web app or Android app.
We don't sell your data. Data is shared only with the service providers necessary to run the app: Supabase (database/auth) and Google Gemini / Groq (AI chatbot responses). These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting the developer (see the About & Developer section in the app). Local data can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data or uninstalling the Android app.
Foc Lock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under that age.
This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact details listed in the app's About & Developer section or via the developer's portfolio site.
